What is a data privacy audit?

A data privacy audit is an examination of whether, or to what extent, a company is implementing the UK GDPR standards , the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations provisions (UK Data Protection Legislation).

The auditor analyses the company’s compliance with the UK’s Data Protection Legislation and compares this with the legal requirements, and where necessary will highlight areas for improvement supported by practical and recommendations.
